Proefnotitie
Een klassieke chianti classico moet in de mond 'zingen' met expressieve kracht en een frisse zuurstructuur. En dat doet de 'Belcanto' 2021 van Nittardi! Bij het inschenken verleidt hij met geuren van hibiscus, zoete kersen en morellen, frambozen en gedroogde kruiden met een stukje sinaasappelschil. In de mond biedt de wijn grip en sappigheid, frisheid en structuur. Het is een chianti zoals hij hoort te zijn: uitnodigend, levendig en zeer geschikt voor bij het eten.

From clay-calcareous soils, with large presence of Galestro, of Castellina in Chianti, Sangiovese, with small participation of territorial, even remote as the Round Leaf and Pugnitello. Dogwood on the nose, hints of lemongrass and tangerine, then eucalyptus. Savory sip, with citrusy return and small fruits notes.

This is red-fruited and a little earthy with notes of chocolate and hibiscus. Ripe and mellow with a medium to full body and grainy tannin structure. Complete and attractive with savory notes at the end. From organically grown grapes.

Rich ruby red with brightening edges. On the nose it has an inviting aroma of black cherry, ripe raspberry, some savouriness in the aftertaste. Mouth-filling on the palate with precise fruit, vivid tannin, persistent, somewhat drying finish, still young.
Past bij
Tapas – de perfecte partner voor serranoham, olijven en chorizo. Ook goed te combineren met pasta en paella.
De wijn
Zo klassiek als deze chianti zich presenteert, zo traditioneel is ook de samenstelling van zijn druivenrassen. Naast 90% sangiovese staan in de in 1968 aangelegde wijngaard San Quirico autochtone Toscaanse druiven zoals canaiolo, colorino, malvasia nera, ciliegiolo, foglia tonda, mammolo en pugnitello (10%). Daar komt nog sangiovese bij uit de 450 m hooggelegen eigen wijngaard van het huis. Beide wijngaarden worden biologisch bewerkt. De rijping vindt plaats in gebruikte fusten van Frans eiken.
