Proefnotitie
Deze barbaresco riserva toont een donkerrode kleur met zwarte reflecties en hij verspreidt complexe aroma’s van bloesem, bessen, kersen en kruiden, wat hints van tabak en specerijen. In de mond is de wijn diep, compact en pakkend, met tonen van rijp donker fruit, toetsen van kruiden, specerijen en tabak, een vleugje floraliteit, gepolijste tannines, een levendig zuurtje, minerale accenten en een sappige, volle, elegante afdronk.

This is the first wine served in a flight of nine that increase in intensity and power moving forward. The Produttori del Barbaresco 2020 Barbaresco Riserva Pora opens to a medium-light color with garnet highlights. Aromas include wild cherry, cassis and blue flower. You also get hints of crushed limestone. The Pora vineyard is near the Tanaro River Valley, where warm air accumulates, and the vines are planted in fertile soils.

The 2020 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is aromatic, effusive and quite charming. Crushed flowers, spice, leather, tobacco and cedar lend notable inner sweetness. Medium in body and gracious, the Pora is pretty approachable today, although it will be better with a few years in bottle. This is a very beautiful, vivid Pora and a fine introduction to the Riservas.

De wijn
De individuele wijngaard Pora ligt aan de rivier Tanaro, waardoor deze wijn rijk aan finesse is. De bodem bestaat uit zand en kalksteen. Na de selectieve oogst werden de druiven volledig ontsteeld en op de pulp gefermenteerd in roestvrijstalen tanks. De wijn rijpte vervolgens twee jaar in grote Franse houten vaten van tussen de 2.500 en 50.000 liter. Tot slot werd de wijn ongeklaard gebotteld.
