Proefnotitie
Bij het proeven toon de barolo een diep donkere, intense kleur met een lichte rand. Het bouquet is gewoon explosief en presenteert aroma's van koffie, specerijen, kersen, frambozen en cederhout. Deze veelzijdigheid en complexiteit worden voortgezet in de smaakbeleving. De wijn is vol, geconcentreerd en haast al dikvloeibaar. De zoete tannine geeft hem een sappig en vol karakter zonder afbreuk te doen aan de klassieke structuur.

Lots of fresh roses and dried strawberries. Full-bodied and powerful with lots of tannins, yet they are fine and polished. Excellent length. A classic Barolo with the structure and beautiful freshness you expect for long term aging. Give it at least five to six years to come together.

The Ceretto 2019 Barolo Bricco Rocche is made with organic fruit from Castiglione Falletto, one of the villages that performs best, generally speaking, and specifically in this classic vintage. The bouquet is layered and rich with ripe cherry and crème de cassis. There are savory tones of iron ore and grilled herb. It offers a silky mouthfeel with elegant mineral nuances. Overall, this wine shows impeccable precision and beautiful definition.

The 2019 Barolo Bricco Rocche is fabulous, and also one of the best wines I have tasted in more than 20 years of visiting. Soaring aromatics and bright, layered fruit all meld together in a Barolo of uncommon elegance. Dried flowers, spice, tobacco and cedar are all wonderfully alive in the glass. This potent, virile Barolo is simply lights out. Elegance and power are rarely well integrated in a young Barolo. The 2019 is a wine of real breadth and resonance. Superb.

De wijn
De vinificatie van deze wijn gebeurt met uiterste precisie en toewijding. De druiven komen uit de eersteklas wijngaard Bricco Rocche in Castiglione, waar Ceretto in grote jaren als 2019 behoort tot de topwijnbouwers. Na de oogst wordt de wijn zorgvuldig gevinifieerd en rijpt in eiken vaten om zijn complexiteit en structuur te ontwikkelen.
