Wonderful salmon colour with delicate copper tints. Aromas of smoked ham on the nose, along with wet stones. Then, with air, there is delicate wild strawberry. Substantial and fleshy on the palate, with the finest mousse and a touch of rooibos tea. A successful, full-bodied rosé that is suitable for hearty dishes.

The pale pink colored NV Bouvet Trésor Brut Rosé is a highly delicate, round, remarkably intense and complex barrel-aged Cabernet Franc sparkling wine with red fruit aromas (raspberry, candied cherries) intertwined with lemon, fine nougat, fresh oak and brioche notes in the chalky background of the Saumur terroirs. Mouth-filling, intense, dense and round on the palate, again with a hint of fresh oak, this is a complex, elegant, seriously and sustainably structured Rosé sparkling wine of impressive class. My personal taste goes for purer and drier styles; but to give a party and make as many guests as happy as possible, this is an excellent (and fairly priced) Brut. This bottle was disgorged in December 2020, after 18 months of bottle aging.

Bouvet Ladubay
Bouvet-Ladubay is opgericht in 1851 en is een van de beroemdste producenten van mousserende wijn in Frankrijk. Het bedrijf maakte vroeger al gebruik van de nieuwste technologieën op het gebied van wijnmaken en is daar nooit mee gestopt. De cuvées hebben een subtiele bubbel en worden gemaakt van de druivensoorten Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay en Cabernet Franc, die rijpen in de acht kilometer lange kelder van het landgoed.
