Wat een opmaat, wat een mineraliteit! Deze Breuer-riesling verschijnt helder en fijn geel in het glas en voldoet dan aan alle verwachtingen. Aroma's van thee en fijn geel en wit fruit charmeren de neus. In de mond een enorme frisheid, begeleid door puur zout en steen en de perfecte zuurbalans. De 'Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland' is geen citrusachtige riesling, eerder een geweldig geheel van zilte en minerale lengte. Door en door verfijnd en een creatie vol stijl en expressie.

Deep and ripe, but still so bright, this has stunning aromas of dried pear, bergamot and vermouth. Extraordinary concentration and structure for just 11.5% alcohol. Then comes the very long, compact and stony finish. Built for the ages. Limited production. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification.

The 2022 Berg Rottland is clear, refined and surprisingly coolish on the flinty and slightly citric nose that reveals ripe and elegant white fruit and serious intensity. Very refined and elegant on the palate, this is an enormously saline and fresh, lean and linear Berg Rottland that shows more strings than muscles or body. The wine has a silky texture, fine, crystalline acidity and reveals ripe stone fruit aromas toward the finish. 11.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in September 2023.
