Proefnotitie
In de neus komen aroma’s van donkere kersen, bramenconfituur en cassis samen met fijne specerijen, een vleugje nougat en edele houttonen. In de mond is de wijn sappig en complex, met rijp, zacht fruit en fijnkorrelige tannines. Elegante extractzoetheid ontmoet hier een frisse structuur. Een zowel krachtige als verleidelijke bordeaux, met een lange, harmonieuze afdronk.

Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. Delicate spicy notes, dark cherries, ripe blackberry confit, some nougat, fine precious wood spice. Juicy, complex, fine extract sweetness, ripe tannins, shows great charm, freshly structured, heart cherries, lingers for a long time, sure maturity potential, very seductive style.

Pure cassis, leafy herbs, spring flowers, and graphite all emerge from the 2025 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande, a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. It’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, has a flawlessly balanced mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and an incredible finish. The balance, length, complexity, and pure class here are exceptional. It hit 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.7 and an IPT of 73. Hats off to director Nicolas Glumineau for another absolutely sensational Comtesse!

The 2025 Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a total stunner. A wine of depth and intensity, it soars out of the glass with layers of nuance and complexity. The 2025 has it all: aromatics, fruit density and structure to match. Pichon Comtesse is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage.

De wijn
De jaargang 2025 in Pauillac werd gekenmerkt door een warm en overwegend droog groeiseizoen, wat zorgde voor een gelijkmatige rijpheid en een hoge concentratie. Dankzij de koelere fases tegen het einde van het seizoen bleef de frisheid behouden, evenals de precieze aromatische expressie. Het waren de ideale omstandigheden voor gestructureerde, maar tegelijk elegante wijnen.
Bij Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande komt dit jaargangsprofiel samen met eersteklas wijngaarden direct naast Château Latour. De druiven worden selectief geoogst en zorgvuldig verwerkt om de balans tussen kracht, finesse en aromatische diepte tot uitdrukking te brengen. De rijping vindt klassiek plaats in Franse barriques, met bijzondere aandacht voor een precieze integratie van het hout, zodat de kenmerkende elegantie van het huis behouden blijft.
