In robijnrood-paars vloeit de rode wijn in het glas. In de neus overheersen tonen van bramen met een vleugje frambozen. Op de tong diverse zwarte bessen, witte en zwarte peper en een vleugje Frans eiken. Nadrukkelijke tannines zorgen voor een complex karakter, de body is elegant en toch weelderig. De finish rondt het smaakavontuur af in stijl.

From two vineyards - Marananga planted in 1899 and Nuriootpa in '65. It's a magical combo because this is gorgeous. Really vibrant and fragrant with florals, a whorl of fresh red berries and blackberries across the palate but not too much and not too sweet with some choc-mint too. Tannins are neatly poised and the palate surprisingly mid-weighted.

This has impressive freshness and aromas of ripe plums, raspberries, blackberries and some violets, as well as orange peel and terra cotta. Big fruit and bright structure. The palate holds a lot of vibrant blackberry and blueberry flavors, contained by assertive tannins that channel the power. A more modern Bogan and good value here.

De wijn
Deze shiraz uit Barossa Valley komt uit twee verschillende wijngaarden die elkaar perfect aanvullen. Het Marananga-deel biedt intense, oude druivenproducten die zorgen voor het 'blauwe fruit' in de wijn. De Nuriootpa-wijngaard levert meer 'zwart fruit'. De bodem wordt hier voornamelijk gekenmerkt door leisteen, klei, leem en rode zandsteen.
