From a celebrated single vineyard recognized around the world, the 2013 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine shows beautifully in this vintage. This is a complete and generous expression of Aglianico with thick layering and full-bodied appeal. Fruit thrives at 700 meters above sea level, where nighttime diurnal shifts make a big impact on the quality and brightness of the aromas, especially in a balanced and slightly cool vintage such as this. Taurasi renders rich aromas of black fruit, spice and balsam herb. You get all of those here with abundance.

A savory, meaty, full-bodied red with plenty of black cherry, fruit peel, sage and fresh tobacco leaf. Chewy, integrated tannins and black-tea notes on the finish. One of the best for a long time.
Feudi di San Gregorio
Feudi di San Gregorio: een klankvolle en erg gerenommeerde naam. Hij staat voor de opbloei van de wijncultuur van Campanië – of eigenlijk van het hele zuiden van Italië. Het wijngoed werd in 1986 opgericht in Sorbo Serpico in de provincie Avellino, 55 kilometer ten oosten van Napels. In deze streek, de historische Romeinse provincie Irpinia, werden al in de oudheid geliefde wijnen geproduceerd.
